Experience:

Mr. Asadullah Jan is a graduate of the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Peshawar, and holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLISc). Upon completing his formal education, he commenced his professional career as a Trainee Librarian at the Main Library of the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, where he served for eight months.

Subsequently, he was appointed as Librarian (BPS-17) at Garrison Cadet College Kohat, where he served with dedication for eight years. Alongside his core responsibilities, Mr. Asadullah Jan also performed additional roles, including Messing Officer, Sports Officer and OIC of the College Purchase Committee—for seven years.

In March 2016, Mr. Asadullah Jan joined KSKCCS as Librarian. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in the development of the college library, leading the establishment of a fully functional library in a newly constructed two-storey building. Under his supervision, the book collection expanded from 3,500 to over 10,000 volumes, alongside the addition of a Digital Library and modern learning resources.

Beyond library administration and services, Mr. Jan has also designed a comprehensive library syllabus tailored for cadets and has been conducting structured library classes from Grades 8 to 12 accordingly. With over 17 years of experience in library management and academic resource organization at the school and college level, Mr. Asadullah Jan remains a dedicated professional contributing significantly to the promotion of academic excellence, digital literacy, and intellectual growth.
